Toddler Time
Toddler Time is a story and craft-based activity aimed at children 2 – 5 years. Delivered at the Putāruru and Tokoroa Libraries each week during term time. No enrolment is necessary, just turn up.
Wriggle & Rhyme
Wriggle & Rhyme sessions are thirty minutes of fun, movement, singing, rhythm and stories which stimulate growing brains and bodies. Wriggle & Rhyme is recommended for ages 0-2. Older siblings are welcome, and sessions delivered weekly during term time at the Putāruru and Tokoroa Libraries. Lego Club
Our libraries run Lego Clubs across the district at Tokoroa Library, Putāruru Library and Tīrau Library Link.

Code Club
Libraries partner with Code Club Aotearoa to deliver weekly term-time coding sessions at the Tokoroa and
Putāruru Libraries.
Code Club encourages students to utilise their imaginations with step-by-step guides to create games, make and design websites, code interactive stories and much more. Code Club sessions are free to attend, suitable for ages 7 – 13, and Tamariki must be registered to attend. Registration is done on a first come, first served basis.

Love Crafty Hands
Do you have crafty hands? Are you a beginner looking to pick up a new skill? A craft-master with expertise to share? Keen to craft, stitch, knit, or just natter in a warm and welcoming space? Love Crafty Hands sessions are well attended, free, fun, and open to everyone. Held at Tokoroa Library each Thursday from 10:30 onward.
Tautoko Mamati – Digital Support
The service is aimed at helping to build digital literacy and capability across our communities so that people can stay connected. Sessions are a mix of classes and one-to-one. One-to-one sessions are customer-led; you let us know what you want to achieve, and our team will work with you to help you achieve your digital goals.
Our Digital Support specialists can help with:
- Device set-up
- Email set-up
- Navigating e-government services
- Understanding mobile apps
- Introduction to social media platforms
- Online information gathering
- Internet basics
