Swimming Pools

The South Waikato's indoor swimming pool facility in Tokoroa will be closed to the public from 3 February 2025 for a period of 12-15 months, to allow for essential works to be conducted at the facility. Learn more here.

The South Waikato District also has two seasonal pools located in Putāruru & Tīrau,

Putāruru Pools are located at 84 Reservoir Street, Putāruru.
Tīrau Pools are located at 11 Goodwin Street, Tīrau.

These outdoor pools are open during the summer season.

Tīrau summer pools are located at Goodwin Street reserve, adjacent to the Tīrau Play centre and Primary School. Built-in 1980, the complex contains a 25 x 12 metre outdoor pool and a toddlers pool. There are shaded spectator bleachers, grassed areas and changing rooms.
