Notice of Intention to Treat Land as Abandoned Local Government Rating Act 2002
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 77 of the Local Government Rating Act 2002, that South Waikato District Council (“Council”) intends to exercise its power to treat the following rating units as abandoned land:

The reason for this action being taken is that:
- Rates on the above rating units have remained unpaid to the Council for more than three years; and
- The ratepayers cannot be found after due enquiry and have no known agents in New Zealand.
The effect of this notice is that on or after the 17th day of June 2023, the Council may apply to the District Court for an order declaring the land to be abandoned land and authorising the Council to sell or lease it in the manner set out in the said Section 77 of the Act.
