Waste Management and Minimisation Plan 2022

The consultation period for the proposed Waste Management and Minimisation Plan (WMMP) 2022 opens on Thursday 8 September 2022 and closes at 5pm, Monday 10 October 2022.

The WMMP will be consulted upon under the Special Consultation Procedure under the Local Government Act 2002. All submissions will be heard and considered, and a hearing will be held, if required.

Copies of the Plan, Statement of Proposal, Summary and Submission forms (hard copy and electronic) are available from the Council offices in Tokoroa and Putāruru, Tīrau i-SITE (the Dog) and Council’s website www.southwaikato.govt.nz

Submissions can be made:

• Online via Council’s website www.southwaikato.govt.nz – Community Engagement
• In hard copy mailed to Freepost Authority Number 201, WMMP 2022, South Waikato District Council, Torphin Crescent, Tokoroa 3420 or hand delivered to Council offices in Tokoroa and Putāruru or the Dog in Tirau.
• Emailed to info@southwaikato.govt.nz. Please write WMMP 2022 in the subject bar.

If you wish to be heard, a date and time will be arranged with you. Please remember to include the following in your submission: name, address, phone number and/or email address and whether or not you wish to be heard (if applicable).
