Water restrictions lifted

Due to the recent rainfall and the long term weather forecast, urban water restrictions have been lifted in the South Waikato.

The water restrictions definitely had the desired effect in terms of reducing water consumption across all of our towns, ensuring that Council could continue to supply water during the dry weather.

"Council would like to thank residents for their support during the water restriction period," said Roger Fisher, Council's Group Manager Assets. "If we hit another dry patch, we ask the community to be sensible about water use."
