The South Waikato District has reached Water Alert Level 1.
This means sprinkler systems are permitted between 6am to 8am and 6pm to 8pm ONLY.
This decision was made due to the current dry weather and the increased water use in our district. If the dry weather persists and water usage does not decrease, our district will move into the next Water Alert Level with further restrictions.
Should rain occur, it will not necessarily mean that restrictions are lifted. Council will keep you updated.
