SW Customer Services Team take award

The South Waikato District Council's Putāruru Customer Services Team received the Service to the Community award at the Putāruru Business Awards on Saturday night.

The team were up against 16 other businesses in the category and four finalists.

"It's really pleasing to hear that the Putāruru Customer Services Team has been recognised for their service role in the community and role we play in supporting business," said Sam Marshall, Council's Community Group Manager. "It is even more of an achievement when we consider that it is in the context of business awards and Council is often considered to be outside the traditional 'business' world."

Mr Marshall commended the team on its well-deserved accolade, acknowledging their sense of achievement and their commitment to providing the highest levels of service to the community.

"I was very proud of the team on Saturday night," said Chief Executive Craig Hobbs. "It is fantastic that the community recognises the great work they all do." Ends. Words 159
