Severe contamination is occurring through your recycling habits, let's sort it out.

Here's some simple things to remember when organizing your household recycling for collection;

• Only plastics 1, 2 & 5 can be recycled in South Waikato. Check for the recycling symbol before popping them in your yellow wheelie bin.
• Plastics 3, 4, 6 & 7 must go in your RED rubbish bin.
• Everything in your wheelie bin must be clean. If the item is unable to be cleaned, then it must go in your RED rubbish bin.
• Any type of LID must go in your RED rubbish bin. They may look recyclable, but they are too small to go through the recycling process and are often the wrong type of plastic.
