Health alert: Cyanobacteria (blue green algae)
News
Waikato Regional Council has advised of a rise in cyanobacteria (blue green algae) concentration, with Lake Arapuni and Maraetai listed as "caution advised" amber warnings.
As a result we’re advising those using the water to be vigilant and to avoid touching the water or allowing pets in the water if you see bluey-greeny coloured water.
Temporary signage will be put up around the District with cautionary advice, while you can also find out more by clicking here.
