Have your say
Council's Draft Annual Plan 2013-14 is open for public consultation from Wednesday 20 March. And Council wants your feedback.
Changes to the Local Government Act means that amalgamation is easier for communities to action and harder for communities to stop; so joining up with other Councils is looking more likely. If we join with another Council, what happens to our capital funding of $25million; how do we progress economic development; what does it mean for our continued service delivery?
And these are just a few of the big questions on which Council wants community feedback.
Public consultation on the Draft Annual Plan opens on Wednesday 20 March; and closes on Monday 22 April.
"Now is the time for YOU to have your say," said Cindy Kent, Council's Strategic Policy Manager. "Submissions forms with easy to complete tick boxes are available, making the process even easier."
Submission forms and full plans are available from offices, libraries and on our website. An easy to read summary will be mailed to ratepayers; and made available through places such as dentists, doctors and dairies.
